Marsh warns on emissions regulations

Concerns for the Marine Industry Marsh warns: shipowners are advised not to assume that insurance cover will continue to remain in place under all circumstances following a breach of the MARPOL Convention Annex VI after January 1, 2020

The broker urges: “Now is the time that decisions need to be made about how to comply with the 2020 Annex VI requirements, especially if operators know their MARPOL-applicable vessels are unable to achieve the low levels of sulphur emissions that will be required.”
